Objectives of the Second Conference:
1- To formulate a clear vision of folklore, Which fits the cultural context of the United Arab Emirates and Arab Gulf Countries.
2- To promote the contributions of local and national institutions in their attempts to preserve the Indigenous culture and heritage of Gulf societies.
3-
To explore new venues of folklore in the rapidly changing societies of the Arab Gulf.
4- To identify current resources of folklore in the field of heritage in the Arab Gulf area in general, and the United Arab Emirates, in particular.
Themes of the Second Conference:
1-
To establish the beginnings and methodologies of collecting and documenting folklore and oral traditions in theEmirates.
2-
To highlisht the modern technologies in the field of recording, documenting and classifying heritage.
3-
To Set priorities in heritage research in the Emirates and the Arab Gulf.
4- To underscore the role of folklore in the preservation of the local culture of the Arab Gulf Countries.
